Catonsville Kennel Club Howard County Dog Show 2015
Jody Raines is an Owner-Handler who recently exhibited her Grand Champion Belgian Malinois, GCh Broadcreek's You Were Meant For Me (Call name, Jewel) at the Catonsville Kennel Club Dog Show in Howard County, Maryland. Jewel was one of approximately three hundred beautiful, registered and purebred dogs who competed over the course of the three-day, three show cluster of events.
Catonsville Kennel Club, established in 1945, is the second oldest kennel club in Maryland.
The Catonsville Kennel Club has held an annual all breed and obedience dog show on the second Saturday in October at the Howard County Fairgrounds for many years. A Friday show was added in the 90’s, and eventually the show became a weekend cluster with other clubs.
The Catonsville Kennel Club is a recognized member of the AKC. Established in 1884, the American Kennel ClubŪ is the nation’s leading organization devoted to the advancement of purebred dogs. The AKC protects and ensures the continuation of the sport of purebred dogs, maintains a registry of almost 200 recognized breeds, and adopts and enforces rules and regulations governing dog shows and performance events.
